About Special Services
Newcastle Schools provide special education services to students who reside in the Newcastle District. Newcastle serves students between the ages of 3 to 21 years. All students served with special education supports meet eligibility criteria as students with disabilities as outlined in the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). It is our goal to minimize the impact of the disability and maximize the opportunity for the student to participate and be successful in school. The staff will provide guidance and support to schools and families to ensure that students are provided the specialized instruction and related services they require to succeed academically.
