RACERS ROCKING LIFE

  • Thomas Lassiter (senior) made first chair this Saturday in the Oklahoma Small School All-State Band.  He was the top bass clarinet player in the state for schools in the 2A-4A classification!  Way to GO THOMAS- Hard work pays off!!
  • Congratulations to Ethan Bullock, Emma Milligan and Mariah Stephens!  They were selected after second round auditions this Saturday to sing in the all-state choirs. Ethan will sing in the mixed choir and Emma and Mariah will sing in the treble chorus during OkMEA conference in January. 
    They are now part of a very select choir made up of singers from all classifications.  Way to go Racers!
  • WRESTLING: Racers Rocked the Westmoore Open-Nate McKellips 1st, Hunter Sneed 2nd, Jacob Bruns 3rd, Blake Johnson 4th, Shane Lovejoy 1st, Chaz gentry 1st, Brady Rice 2nd
  • Academic team, congratulations on a good season!  We will not have a meeting this week, but will meet again next week to start planning for next year.
 

COUNSELOR INFORMATION

  • Seniors interested in getting an in depth look at UCO's academics & scholarships can now reserve your spot at a Central Close Up Day. These days are filled with great information and everything you need to know about UCO. Go to: uco.edu/tours
  • SENIORS: Seniors be sure you are checking the boards in the counseling center for new scholarship information updated weekly!
  • Each year approximately 50 high school juniors from across OK are selected for Youth Leadership Oklahoma. The class will spend June 2-7, 2019 traveling to selected locations in OK to learn about and experience our state's treasures, meet adult community and state leaders and develop personal leadership skills. Students will receive a scholarship for expenses related to transportation, lodging and meals. Juniors interested in applying for this leadership program should see your counselor for an application. The deadline to apply is December 5th.
  • Rose State College's Medial Lab Technology Program is hosting an open house on Friday, November 30th from 9 am until noon in their medical lab.  Students will have the opportunity to talk to the program director and staff as well as current students and observe the daily routine of a Medical Technologist.  

OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Racers it’s time to plan for the “Racers Got Talent Showcase”.  We are having our third annual school talent show on Thursday, November 15 during the afternoon.  TTicks “Racers Got Talent Showcase” and tickets will cost $2 you can begin paying on Wednesday
  • November is our thankful month - please stop by the library to add a sticky note to our bulletin board about something you are thankful 
  • Seniors baby pictures for the graducation walk are due now!  Bring your pictures to Mrs. Treu in room 118. 
  • Letter jackets will be available for fitting and ordering on November 13th in the Library. You will need $135 deposit. You can pick up an order form from the main office.

Racer Cafe

Here are the new breakfast and lunch prices for the 2018-19 year:

Breakfast: $1.50 (increase of $0.25)
Elem Lunch: $2.50 (increase of $0.15)
Secondary Lunch: $2.75 (increase of $0.20)

Reduced meals will still cost $.30 for breakfast and $0.40 for lunch per federal guidelines.
